Leonard & Sefilyan LLP was founded in August 2015. After working together for over 15 years Pearse Leonard and Narine Sefilyan formed their own practice, Leonard & Sefilyan, LLP. The knowledge, expertise, and experience of the team they have put together will assure that every client receives the service and attention they deserve. Their commitment to high standards, developing a team of seasoned professionals, and work ethic are the reasons their clients remain with them. Leonard & Sefilyan’s expertise ranges from basic tax management and accounting services to more complex issues such as audits, financial statements, financial and estate planning.

Meet Our Team

Narine Sefilyan, CPA, Partner. Born in Armenia but raised in Los Angeles since the age of four,  a graduate of California State University, Northridge with a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy.  Narine has over 20 years of experience in public accounting; she has gained her diverse knowledge of accounting and financial analysis by working with clientele ranging from sole proprietors to multi-million dollar corporations. Her specialties include real estate, wholesale and retail businesses, estate taxes and tax exempt entities, among many others. Narine is also fluent in Armenian. narine@cpasls.com

J. Pearse Leonard, CPA, Partner.  Originally from Ireland, Pearse and has resided in the Los Angeles area since 1962.  He has 40 years of public accounting experience, with special emphasis in manufacturing, service and real estate industries.  He is a graduate of California State University, Los Angeles, with a degree in Business Administration.  His previous professional experience includes being a Controller for a division of a publicly traded manufacturing company and being partner of the firm GTL, LLP and its predecessor, Gleicher, Tilley & Leonard from 1980 to 2015.  Pearse oversees a wide range of accounting services, including succession planning, tax-free exchanges and due diligence work. pearse@cpasls.com

Maria Browne, Administrative Assistant.  Born in Mexico and raised in Los Angeles since she was six months old, Maria has been in the accounting industry for over 10 years, working in various aspects of accounting, including Accounts Receivable and bookkeeping.  Maria demonstrates strong interpersonal skills, effective communication and prides herself on providing quality customer service.  Maria also has over 25 years’ experience in real estate as a licensed Realtor.  Maria oversees the administration of Leonard & Sefilyan in addition to the wide range of services she provides to our clients.  Maria is also fluent in Spanish. maria@cpasls.com
